Playdoh, Try Again, Flowers and the MOM Song

This greatly pleases the little guy! He's a Daddy's Boy! :)

Homemade Playdoh.
Oh what fun! Super easy and super entertaining! Of course we made four batches... and they're so pleased to have their own color and lump of fun.
I was given OODLES of cookies, pizzas, hot dogs, hamburgers and even a few coffees to taste.
Rather salty and blah, but I didn't tell them that! ;)

Then I made a "baby" for Halli to hold... and that caught on quick. Soon we had quadruplets being rocked, sang to, fed and dropped... oops.
Their names were Strawberry, Impresto, Diamond, and Baby...
Unique, to say the least.

Try Again.
Whenever we do something Phoenix deems as funny or neat, he says "Try Again!"
So we have been doing lots of Try Agains here... which is good!
It's also a term that the 4 littles can understand very well and is now being applied to behaviors and attitudes... with success, thankfully!
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!!
:)

Halli and 'her boys'

Flowers...
Since the boys have been home, Luke has brought me flowers a couple times and Riley thinks every Dandelion he sees is perfect for Mom! So... I've noticed out of the corner of my eye, Phoenix has been quietly watching all this... Yesterday he came running up to me with a tiny little purple flower...
"For you, Mommy!"
Oh, talk about melt me into a puddle... :)
Sweet little guy, he wants so bad to please us and just to be loved.

And the MOM Song...
You know those days  (or at least times) you think you would like to just change your name?! You know, to something other than Mom? Not because you don't like the title, just because it seems to get said thousands and thousands of times a minute...
So today was a "Momomomomomomomomomomomomomomomomomomomom" day... like a thousand times a minute day...
I've discovered a little sanity trick... maybe not to the onlookers, but to me, anyway.
Sing MOM over and over to the tune of "Barbara Ann" by the Beachboys.
Instant laughing and no more fussy "Momomomomomom" talk...
At least for a little bit!

Chicken Nuggets!!
What a hit around here... because nowhere can you find Gluten Free Chicken Nuggets, we've been making our own! Yay!
SUPER easy, once again.

Cut up raw chicken
Roll in crushed corn chips (Cooler Ranch Doritos are super good, just not GF/CF)
Dip into beaten eggs (duck eggs work too!)
Roll back in chips
Put on greased baking sheet
Bake at 425* for 20 minutes...
Wha-La!
We've also been making Honey Mustard dipping sauce... YUM!
:D

She's giving the "Male World" around her a run for it's money! ;)

Last night as I was rocking Quincy, he kept asking me something... I couldn't quite decipher what it was.
Finally I got it:
"Sing Jesus Name Song"
Ah ha! Sure!
He WANTED us to sing Jesus Love Me! :)
Neither Phoenix or Quincy have really shown much interest in singing "our" songs but we've just kept singing every night... Yesterday Phoenix surprised me by saying "Look Mom" and then very shakily singing the first few lines of "Only a Boy Named David"

:D

Major thrill moments!

Anyway, thanks for stopping by, let me know if you did... I LOVE to hear from you!!

Anna - the Mom song is hilarious!! :) Also, the boys singing "your" songs made me want to cry. I'm sure those little moments make it ALL worth it! Think of you SO often...
