Story of my Life

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another,
as good stewards of God's varied grace.
1 Peter 4:10

It's that time of year... All sorts of Japanese/Korean treats begin to arrive with customers...

Almost angelic...;)

Working hard this week... We got called and asked to take two more little children and we said no. It's far from the first time, but it doesn't get easier and my heart hurts because there are so, so many hurting people.

5 more kittens discovered. If I'm counting correctly, this would bring this years total up to 13!!

Wanna come for lunch? Halli says she's cooking!

Snow in July!! We hiked around Mt. Rainier this past Saturday with some friends!

And then on to Grove of the Patriarchs!

Holding it up!

So much fun!

I think we need a few more to fit around this gigantic tree!!

The more than 1,000 year old "twin" trees... Amazing!

Bears in a cave!

Skipping rocks in the river.

Happy week to you!!

Anna, I've been reading your blog for a couple of years and love it. I'm in Wisconsin and looking for potential travel sites for my family (including two teens/two little kids) - can I ask where that Grove of the Patriarchs is located? Is it in a national park or ???

Hi Sue! Grove of the Patriarchs is in Mt Rainier National Park. It's a fairly short, simple hike. Very good for small children, as well as adults. There's also a great hike near there called Silver Falls. It's not too difficult, although longer than GOTP. We enjoy both! Mt Rainier visitor center (Paradise) is also worth visiting. There's hiking as well as other activities there. :)
