Update on Miss Lene

Hello friends!

Do you remember this sweet little girl, Lene, whom I advocated for?

Lene's story and your response to it is something that has made such an impact on MY life and has played a very significant role in us starting Every Child Has A Dream.
I know Lene had an impact on many of you, as well.

So, so many of you gave and prayed and blessed the family who has been working so hard to bring this precious child home to their family. Recently, a friend who regularly visits the orphanage where Lene is, provided this picture:

You guys, Lene needs our prayers again. Sweet Lene is surviving, but certainly not thriving. Not only is Lene is wearing the same shoes she was over 1.5 years ago, at five and a half years old, she still is not walking. Lene is holding on, but things need to MOVE and she needs to come home!

I am coming to you again, asking for you to again, rally around this family and Miss Lene in prayer for a quick, smooth remainder of the adoption process. All the dossier paperwork is finished up on her family's end, and is waiting for final authorizations and then will be sent to Peru. Peru typically takes approx three months to review the dossier... and then usually comes back with "observations," meaning things they'd either like more clarification on or more documents or things they'd like the family to do. Please, please join us in praying this time will be much, much quicker and if there are observations, they'll be minor.

The next step is the approval and mailing another form to USCIS. This step is usually no more than a few weeks... and THEN it's on to the final wait for the travel approval!!

Please pray with us for expedition on ALL of these remaining steps, and that Peru asks for nothing more in the way of observations. The family would LOVE to at least be with her on her sixth birthday, March 8th.

On behalf of Lene's family, I know your prayers would be SO appreciated!

Visit Miss Lene's family's blog: www.amerrychaos.blogspot.com to follow along with their progress or to write them a note of encouragement! :)

She still causes my heart to catch just a little bit :) So glad that things are finally moving for her family! Can't wait to see pics of her home and thriving.
