Visits

These parent visits are quite the deal... I'm new to these! We didn't have them with Scott and Quinn...

Little K and Baby JJ are surposed to have them twice a week with mom and Little K is to have them every other weekend with his dad. We've got our first weekend one coming up this weekend with Little K and his dad (no, we do not go- a worker comes and picks them up and brings them home) and I have to say, I'm a little nervous for Little K. We would definitely appreciate prayer on Little K's behalf, he's not seen his dad since he was a tiny baby...

If these are in the best interest of the child, then I pray they work... I would like to see the parents get their issues resolved and be able to function as a family... but this is hard! These children do need stability and safety and love... and JESUS, most of all!

Anyway, that's what's on my mind as we head into this weekend...

We're also planning to celebrate Scott and Halli's birthdays with my side of the family Sunday afternoon... Luke's family will be later, as some of them are out of town.

The cake order is Rainbow cupcakes for Halli and Chocolate Chip cupcakes with Smiley Faces on top for Scott ("because I like to smile"- love that guy!)

Looks like I've got my baking cut out for the weekend too! :) Stay tuned to see how they turn out.... I'm not too fantastic of a cake maker and they tend to get a little un-pretty... hoping they just cooperate this year!!
