Greater is HE...

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1 John 4:4

This past week we have came face to face with "he that is of the world."
Closer than I ever wanted to be.
But we have also seen, closer than I ever imagined, the power of HE that is in us!

Little K and Baby JJ had another visit Monday morning with their mother. They came home about the same time as they always do, but this time their transport worker brought a "little something" from their mother.

A necklace.

"Little K is supposed to wear this all the time. It's very important {to his mother} that he keep it with him and he wears it always. It was given to him at his birth..." she told me.

Thinking it was odd, I took the necklace with an odd symbol on it anyway...
It instantly gave me the creeps.

I was not familiar with the symbol so I decided to google it.
I was NOT pleased with what I found.
It appeared to be a birth ceremony token from a pagan cult that is involved with w*tchcraft.

I called Luke.
"Get it out of the house now, call the social worker and tell her we will NOT have it in our house and if Little K is required to wear it, they will have to move them. We will have nothing to do with this."

I am thankful for a husband who is willing to stand on the Word of God, regardless the cost.
God alone is who will take care of the boys, regardless where they are. We MUST first and foremost, stand firm on His Word and trust them to HIM {even if it's hard}!

I took the necklace out to the shed and called the social worker.

She didn't uderstand why it was such a 'big deal'.
"Well I am coming Thursday so I'll get it then. I need to discuss this with my supervisor and the boys' mother. I'll let you know." She told me.

We spent the next three days praying and hoping to hear back from her. I called, I left messages... She never called or answered.

She brought another SW today and they came on in the house... we did the normal health and safety visit and they were astounded at the progress the boys had made [Yay God!]. They visited politely, asked what church we attended, talked about our home life...
...then brought up the necklace.

"Well, we decided we'll tell their mother that anything around an 18 month old child's neck is a choking hazard so he will not have to wear it. We don't want to cause any problems for you."

We agreed that would be fine, so as they went out, I picked up the necklace off the outside table.

One of the SW's held out her hand.

I carefully set it in her hand.

Without warning, it dropped onto the concrete and broke.

In pieces.

We all three stared at each other, our eyes were huge, I'm sure.

I started sputtering that I hadn't meant to do that... I was so shocked!

Both of the SW's agreed that I had not meant to drop it, thankfully.

I think they were a little dumbfounded at that point.

The one who'd taken it kept saying, "Don't worry about it, I'll take care of it, it was not your fault."

They picked up the pieces and waved goodbye, told me not to worry and they left!

I went back in the house and Luke was like, "That did NOT just happen!"

"Oh yes, it really did!"

GOD took care of that one.

We stood up for Him, He took care of us.

I am confident that if He cares enough to shatter a pagan necklace, He WILL {alone} take care of our family and these boys!

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
