Camping is what Luke wanted to do for Father's Day.
I'm not much of a camper, (not that I don't enjoy it, but I just haven't went much and it seems like an awful lot of work...) and I never really knew Luke was. I think we've went camping a grand total of 5 times since we've been married. None of those times have been since Scott and Quinn joined our family. Luke did take the 3 older boys one night last summer while Halli, Trey, and I were in Oregon, but they had never slept outside that they could remember. Eek!
So anyway, my brother and his wife (Stephen & Karianne) are avid campers and very good at "roughing it"... we took them along! ;) Luke and Stephen decided we should go to a campground up on Lake Chelan. We originally thought it was a boat-in only campground, but soon learned it wasn't. Apparently, many, many other folks had the same idea, and the campground was ridiculously packed. We did manage to find the boat-in only campground, which was much less crowded. We hope to attempt it next time.
We boated up to the top end of the Lake Chelan Saturday, to a little town called Stehekin. It's only accessible by either boat or airplane! We boated back to the campground for lunch, then headed back out to spend the afternoon tubing and swimming. Chelan is at the other end of the lake, and we spent Sunday morning walking around there, finally hunting down an ice cream parlor for a snack before returning to the camp ground for lunch.

This looks like so much fun!! I spent every Labor Day wknd growing up at Lake Chelan with my dad's side of the family at my uncle's house right on the lake. Looking at these pictures brings back so many memories... the sights, sounds, smells :)
Love the picture of the two youngest in their "bath tubs."
