India:: LEGO Project!

The LEGO project was absolutely incredible. (Warning, I'll probably start every single post that way, because truly, the whole trip was incredible!)....

We took an entire suitcase of Legos to the school, where 200(ish) students grades 3 and up got to participate in the fun! All the kids were seated on the floor in rows, so we split them into groups of 4-6. Luke and our children set up a table in the front and demonstrated how to create something with the bricks. NONE of the children had played with Legos before... and none of the teachers had, either!!

Line by line, the students came up and watched Luke and the kiddos building as Sam explained what they'd be doing. Then we gave each team a package of bricks, a couple mini figures, a couple of sets of wheels, and some other various items... then they began!

It just was amazing! An entire room of children and teachers who could hardly *WAIT* to see what they could create!!! We all walked around to the groups and showed them how the mini figures could bend, stick to the bricks, etc... one little girl even squealed outlaid when I showed her! It was just such a neat experience for all of them AND for us! :)

Our children LOVED it!!!

 Cute little Bryant...

Checking it all out....

I'd say "incredible" pretty much sums this up!! What a joy to see the delight and pride on their faces as they display their creations.
