WOAH---!!
I just realized I'd never posted these!
When we were at our annual church conference in June, we met a wonderful family who live in New Mexico. They are also the current directors of our church's Navajo Mission there. Neither Luke or I had ever visited the Mission, so when we discovered it was only 5-5.5 hours south of the cabin in Colorado, we decided to go and visit. We asked Jason and Sheena if it suited them for us to visit the second weekend in August, and were thrilled to find out it did.

Since June, we have read books, looked at maps, attempted art and craft projects, and discussed the history and traditions of the Navajo Nation. I am so glad we did, as it turns out we learned a lot of information the children were able to recall as we saw and talked to different people.
We were blessed beyond what we ever imagined, just by visiting for the day and a half we were there. We are really looking forward, Lord willing, to head back for a long weekend near the end of March for revival services there. If you get a chance, go visit, or support, or pray for the Torreon Navajo Mission. I am certain you'll be blessed, as well.

People who move away from NM always comment on how much they miss the beautiful sky. I enjoyed reliving our visits to the mission through your pictures.
These pics are beautiful... Especially toward the end of winter, like right now :) My children & I thought it was cool that you got to see a REAL horned lizard! And we're doing to know WHAT Halli & Adrina have on/in those cups!?
