Crockpot Apple Butter Recipe




Crock-Pot Apple Butter Recipe

6-7 pounds peeled, cored, chopped apples
1 3/4 cups apple juice
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon ground gloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 Tablespoon vanilla


Place all ingredients in your crock-pot. Cook on high for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Turn heat to low, and continue cooking 8-10 hours or overnight. Remove lid and cook on high, stirring occasionally an additional 1-2 hours to allow some of the liquid to evaporate. Use and immersion blender to accomplish desired consistency. Ladle into canning jars or containers to freeze. If you prefer to can yours as I do, water-bath process it for 10 minutes.
