Busy Books

I think I've seen these around for about as long as I can remember so I'm not sure why it just dawned on me that I could make one...

But I decided to give it a shot and so the last few days at nap times and such I've been working on this fun little project.

Although not near perfect, they have been very fun to make. Time consuming, yes, but I've really enjoined the challenge and the children can't hardly *wait* until they're allowed to play with them!

I am making them wait... maybe for a trip? Not sure, but somehow so they're still excited when I can pull them out.

I ended up making a boys one and a girls one...

And I have yet to get them all bound, I'm thinking I'll make button holes and either tie with ribbon or else those little binder rings.

All the felt I had on hand... so I haven't had to specifically go out and buy a single thing for them! Yay!
