Blueberry Morning!

This morning we took Mater the Gator and Jill and Ethan and went to pick BLUEBERRIES at a local patch...
They were WONDERFULLY plump and blue and so easy to pick! They're so good looking, in fact, I'm DETERMINED to start liking them...
The children (for the most part) enjoyed picking and were pretty good help, especially Riley and Phoenix.
12+ pounds, one hour and lots of blue teeth and fingers, along with one shrieking, screaming little person, we made it home to dine on more blueberries for lunch! :)
I didn't take my camera to the patch... bummer. Pics would have been fun...

AND THE MOST EXCITING NEWS OF THE DAY {or week or month}....
The boys are now LEGALLY FREE!!!!
On one hand it does make me sad tho. It makes me realize what a fallen world we live in. Why do these children have to go thru this?! This is not their choice or have anything to do with them... they didn't ask to be removed from everything they've ever known. It's NOT their falut! It's just a lot to process sometimes.

Halli loves the binoculars we found on one of our Gator rides...

Race car track!! (Thanks, Aunt Shelly!)

Looks like trouble! ;)

Starting Cup-Stacking already!

Sunday evening walk thru the orchards...

Whatcha got there, Q? Oh, an unripe apple! Neat-o!

My faves...

But usually they look like this....

Or this....

Sometimes this...

Our Laundress hard at work... ;)

We've also enjoyed having family from California here this past week... it was fun to see my Uncle doing the "Tigger" song {that he used to do with us when we were little} with my children. It was good to catch up with Uncle Stephen and Aunt Kathy and re-get-to-know my not-so-little-anymore cousins!

Our other Laundry helper... in our squished-up laundry room... :)

Masking tape is great for Hopscotch on the floor... there has been great enjoyment out of this. Mom can even do this backwards, much to the children's surprise!

There will be some more ex"siding" pictures of the house coming up soon... I think the men will be finished tonight! It's looking nice!

This weekend promises to be entertaining as we plan to go to Brooks, Oregon to the Antique Tractor Show... Oh, the excitement around here!! The boys [Halli too!] are THRILLED!!! :)
Pictures to come, they'll be loaded with sunburned, tired, smiling {hopefully}, popcorn munching, tractor viewing, ear plugging, train riding, exhausted children.... and dad and mom.

Ta-ta for now!
